Another one bites the dust........

The official title of the article is Republicans in disarray after Delay indictment. Gotta love when Republicans are in disarray!

Here's a little nugget:

The charges come as Republican leaders face increasing difficulty in using their majority to carry out Mr Bush's legislative agenda. The president's ambitious plans to rebuild the Gulf coast after Hurricane Katrina have raised strong objections from fiscal conservatives within his party. There is growing consensus that Congress will be unable to enact Social Security reform this year. And extension of his first-term tax cuts is threatened.

Happy Dances may now ensue!

Delay down, Frist is next!

Bush is a liar!!!!!!!!

From Editor and Publisher:

Q Did they misinform you when you said that no one anticipated the breach of the levees?

THE PRESIDENT: No, what I was referring to is this. When that storm came by, a lot of people said we dodged a bullet. When that storm came through at first, people said, whew. There was a sense of relaxation, and that's what I was referring to. And I, myself, thought we had dodged a bullet. You know why? Because I was listening to people, probably over the airways, say, the bullet has been dodged. And that was what I was referring to.

Of course, there were plans in case the levee had been breached. There was a sense of relaxation in the moment, a critical moment. And thank you for giving me a chance to clarify that.

My favorite seedling for '05

Here is my favorite seedling that bloomed in 2005. It's parentage is Prairie Blue Eyes x Joan Senior. The color is quite radiant. The photo really doesn't do it justice.

Betty Bowers sums up the latest

The beloved Mrs. Bowers' latest newsletter just is too good to not share.

Here's a teaser:

I see that our gallant President has decided that it is taking far too long for Iraq to look like America. So he has decided to meet them halfway by making New Orleans look like Baghdad. Only, perhaps, he went too far, as New Orleans could only aspire to a lawless anarchy as dry as Iraq's. And here I thought dear Katherine Harris and her faux-felon purge was the model for trimming the voting lines of Democrats! Frankly, Katherine's glorious efforts to relieve the registration lists of nefarious liberals can't hold a candle to the magnificent indolence of FEMA in New Orleans. And while dead people may vote (especially in Ohio), they don't show up in court to whine about being harassed at the polls. Glory!
