The Republican-controlled Senate voted Wednesday to impose restrictions on the treatment of terrorism suspects, delivering a rare wartime rebuke to President Bush.
Of course, it is ludicrous that we have to pass legislation to bar torture in this day and age.

Hi IowaNiceGuy. I just checked out your interests. Very similiar to mine. I was a prize winning rose grower. I'm from Nebraska (but not a football fan...). I loved a lot of the same SF shows you have. And I'm a liberal blogger. Cool.
If you haven't watched the latest Battle Star Galactica do your self a favor and check it out. Based on what you have written I think you will like it or your quatloos back.
I'm also a fan of marriage for all. I was in SF when Newsome opened up City Hall for marriage licenses for all. It was such a wonderful atmosphere, it saddens me how many people are threatened by it (Including 1/2 my family!)
